Maarten Hornstra (1973) is a travel and documentary photographer. He gravitates toward unexpected stories about places, people and their interactions. Patient and with a contemplative style he watches the events unfold..
His current project Pyramyths takes place in Bosnia-Herzegovina. When someone mentioned she had heard of certain Bosnian Pyramids, Maarten's curiosity was triggered. He went to the town of Visoko to photograph the surroundings and its visitors. What draws them to this place, and what are they looking for?
