Maarten Hornstra

A roundup village in northern Finland. Every fall, reindeer are driven from the tundra to the village using quads and helicopters. New-born calves are identified, and animals are taken apart for slaughtering.

The village is only in use for a few weeks each year, during which time multiple families live there and even a temporary school is set up.
